SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday assessed the progress of ongoing and newly launched development projects being executed by the Buildings Department across the district.
According to the spokesperson of the DC office here, the meeting was attended by Deputy Director Development Mehtab Yaseen, Executive Engineer (Buildings) Badr Sultan, and other relevant officials.
Participants were briefed on the status of development schemes, allocation and utilization of funds, and implementation progress.
During the briefing, officials informed the meeting that work is underway on 45 development schemes across various departments, including 22 ongoing projects and 23 new schemes. The projects carry a combined approved cost of more than Rs8.47 billion.
It was further revealed that over Rs 3.13 billion had been allocated for these schemes during the fiscal year 2025-26.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Of this amount, more than Rs 2.44 billion has been released, while over Rs 2.27 billion has already been utilized, reflecting an overall utilization rate of 93 percent of the released funds.
Officials stated that 94 percent of the funds released for the 22 ongoing schemes have been utilized, while 91 percent of the released funds for the 23 new projects have also been spent.
Addressing the meeting, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry directed all concerned departments to ensure the timely completion of development projects and maintain high construction standards.
He emphasized that public welfare projects remain a priority of the Government of Punjab and stressed the need for transparent and efficient utilization of development funds.
The DC reiterated that effective monitoring and timely execution of development schemes are essential to delivering improved public services and infrastructure facilities to citizens across the district.
