DC SBA revises school timings across district

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner/Collector Shaheed Benazirabad Abdul Samad Nizamani has issued a notification revising school timings across the district in response to ongoing severe heatwave.

According to notification, the decision has been taken to ensure safety and health of students, teachers, and school staff amid rising temperatures.

All public and private schools in the district will now operate from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For double-shift schools, the second shift will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The notification states that these directives come into immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.

The deputy commissioner has directed all relevant departments and authorities to ensure strict implementation of the revised timings to protect students and staff from the adverse effects of extreme heat.
