DC, Tahira Aurangzeb honour hospital staff, engage with children on Eid

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema and Tahira Aurangzeb, MNA visited Holy Family Hospital on Sunday to share Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations with patients and medical staff.

During the visit, they inspected various wards and inquired after the health of patients, expressing good wishes for their speedy recovery.

They distributed sweets and Eid gifts among doctors, nurses and other staff on duty, appreciating their dedication to serving patients during the festive occasion.

Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema said that sharing Eid happiness with patients and frontline workers was a collective responsibility and acknowledged their services during difficult times.

Tahira Aurangzeb said that the medical staff was a valuable asset to the nation and continued to serve the public with commitment.

In a separate visit, the duo visited the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau where they celebrated Eid with children.

They cut a cake with the children and distributed sweets, bringing smiles among them.

Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema said that the true message of Eid was to share happiness, especially with children who deserved special care and attention.

Tahira Aurangzeb said that such institutions played a vital role in society by ensuring proper care and upbringing of children, adding that the government would continue efforts for their welfare.
