RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) The District Emergency Response Committee (DERC) reviewed anti-dengue measures in a meeting held at the DC Complex on Friday, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Abdul Rehman Khan.
Officials from the health department, municipal bodies and other relevant departments attended the meeting, which assessed ongoing dengue surveillance and emergency preparedness across the district.
The meeting was briefed on key interventions, including indoor and outdoor surveillance, hotspot monitoring, larva eradication drives, fogging operations and sanitation efforts being carried out in various areas.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The chair directed authorities to ensure regular inspection of sensitive locations, including graveyards, tyre shops, junkyards and under-construction sites to prevent the breeding of dengue larvae.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Rehman Khan stressed the need to further strengthen and accelerate the anti-dengue campaign, adding that all departments must ensure their active field presence.
It was decided that all relevant departments would remain on high alert, while daily performance reviews would be conducted to improve the effectiveness of anti-dengue operations across the district.
