PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Director General (DG) Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Fahad here Thursday inspected Supreme Command Post in Kohati area and reviewed emergency services and arrangements provided to mourners during Muharram.
On this occasion, District Emergency Officer Iftikhar Khan briefed Director General about deployed rescue personnel, ambulances, medical posts, control room operations and facilities provided to the mourners.
A total of 4,000 employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rescue1122 served mourners in providing facilities during observance of Muharram-ul-Haram.
He informed that 280 ambulances and 124 firefighters have taken part in rescue activities around different Imambargahs.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Similarly, a total of 65 medical camps have been established throughout province and 780 paramedics accompanied by female medical technicians have been deputed in these camps.
He said that rescue workers walked with mourners as per prescribed routes and provided them on spot help and first-aid facilitates. He said that medicines and other essential equipment have been provided to entire medical camps in the province.
Appreciating professional performance of rescue personnel, Director General Shah Fahad directed that timely, and effectively emergency services should be ensured to public and mourners during Muharram.
