DIG Joiya inspects Safe City expansion camera sites in New Blue Area, orders swift completion

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Director General Safe City/Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya visited the camera sites of the Safe City Islamabad expansion project in New Blue Area to review ongoing development work.

An official told APP on Thursday that the DIG, accompanied by Deputy Director OFC Wasif Sarwar and other relevant team members, inspected various sites under the expansion project.

Joiya reviewed the progress of construction and installation work and directed the concerned teams to expedite the pace of work and ensure timely completion of the project.

The official added that the Safe City expansion would help enhance surveillance coverage and improve monitoring across key areas of the Federal capital. Joiya emphasized that completion of the project at the earliest would play a vital role in strengthening security, improving response time and ensuring better safety for citizens.
