DIG stresses improved work environment to enhance police performance

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hazara, Nasir Mahmood Satti, on Tuesday visited Police Lines Abbottabad and conducted a detailed inspection of various units and facilities, with a strong focus on improving the welfare and working conditions of police personnel.

During the visit, District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad, Haroon Rashid, accompanied the DIG. The visit aimed to review ongoing welfare measures for police officials and assess the condition of existing facilities.

DIG Satti inspected the police mess, barracks, and residential quarters, directing authorities to ensure strict adherence to hygiene standards. He emphasized maintaining cleanliness, improving the quality of food, and enhancing the overall living conditions for personnel.

He also ordered the establishment of a modern cafeteria at Police Lines, with spacious seating arrangements to provide a comfortable dining environment for officers and staff. He stressed the need for clean drinking water, proper ventilation, adequate lighting, and consistent sanitation across all facilities.

Highlighting the importance of personnel welfare, the DIG said that providing a better environment would enable police officials to perform their duties more effectively.

He further instructed personnel to maintain cleanliness in their barracks and duty areas, warning of strict action against those neglecting discipline, punctuality, or responsibilities. At the same time, he called for recognition and encouragement of officers demonstrating good performance
