DIKhan Police arrest proclaimed offenders in search operation

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Police in Dera Ismail Khan carried out a late-night snap checking and search operation along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route, leading to the arrest of two proclaimed offenders and recovery of illegal weapons.

Police spokesperson told on Saturday that the operation was conducted on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed, under the supervision of SP Paharpur Iqbal Khan Baloch and DSP Panyala Sardar Alamgir Khan, with SHO Panyala Abdul Ghaffar Khan leading the field teams.

During the operation, police teams set up checkpoints and conducted thorough checking of vehicles, houses, and individuals in Panyala and along the CPEC route to curb criminal activities and apprehend absconders.

As a result, two proclaimed offenders Haq Nawaz, son of Toob Khan, a resident of Wanda Madat, and Qamar Zaman, son of Haji Fazal-ur-Rehman, resident of Mohallah Sharqi Khel, Panyala were arrested.

Police also recovered one pistol and five rounds of ammunition from each of the accused.

The district police reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace in the area, stating that no effort would be spared in taking strict action against criminal elements.
