Director excise visits Bureau office APP Quetta

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) Director Excise, Taxation, and Anti-Narcotics North Zone Balochistan Muhammad Ayaz Jamali on Monday met with Balochistan Bureau Chief APP Nazar Muhammad Baloch during visit of the Bureau Office Quetta.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding matters related to excise, taxation and narcotics control in the province, institutional reforms, use of modern technology and provision of better services to the public.

On this occasion, Director IT Excise Balochistan Mir Ayaz Ahmed Jamali said that the Excise Department Balochistan is taking effective steps to improve the tax system in the province, eliminate drugs, develop the vehicle registration system on modern lines and increase public facilities.

He said that the use of modern information technology has significantly improved the performance of the department and transparent and fast services are being provided to the public.

He said that the modern and revolutionary changes and reforms in the department of Secretary Excise Syed Zafar Ali Bukhari, Director General North Muhammad Ayub Hazara, Director General South Muhammad Zaman have significantly increased the performance of the department.

He said that the Secretary Excise Balochistan and the Director General Excise Balochistan are very capable, talented and experienced officers, under whose leadership the Excise Department is on the path of development and innovation.

Due to their administrative skills and vision, positive changes have taken place in the performance of the department and public confidence has increased.

Mir Ayaz Ahmed Jamali further said that a series of reform measures are underway to make the Excise Department more effective and modern, however, more measures and resources are needed to address the current challenges and further improve the quality of public services.

He expressed his determination that the Excise Department of Balochistan would continue to fulfill its responsibilities in a more efficient manner for the development of the province, increase in revenue and public welfare.

On this occasion, Bureau Chief APP Nazar Muhammad Baloch appreciated the performance of the Excise Department of Balochistan and said that highlighting the positive activities of public institutions is the need of the hour so that the public could be kept informed about government initiatives and development efforts.

The meeting concluded in a pleasant atmosphere in which the commitment to mutual cooperation, exchange of information and promotion of public awareness was reiterated.
