District administration announces tight security for Good Friday,Easter

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) The district administration has put in place strict security arrangements for the upcoming Christian festivals of Good Friday and Easter, following directives from the provincial Home Department.

According to officials,Good Friday will be observed on April 3,followed by Easter on April 5.

The holy days will be marked by religious observances as well as recreational activities across the district.

Authorities have issued instructions for enhanced security at churches,parks,cinema halls and other public places.

High-resolution CCTV cameras will be installed around worship sites,while walk-through gates and metal detectors will be set up at sensitive locations.

The Home Department has also stressed traffic management and directed law enforcement agencies to conduct mock exercises to ensure preparedness.

Improved lighting will be provided around recreational and religious venues.

Special measures will be taken for foreigners,including missionary leaders,with Anti-Riot forces deployed and combing operations carried out where needed.

Hospitals will remain on high alert and district control rooms will be linked with the central headquarters to coordinate the security plan.

Officials emphasized the strict implementation of all measures to ensure public safety during the festivals.
