The Foreign Office said Pakistan remains committed to encouraging peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomacy.
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke by phone on July 12, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the rapidly changing situation in the region, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said.
During the call, both leaders exchanged views on the latest regional developments.
Dar urged all parties to reduce tensions and exercise restraint in line with the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreed upon in June 2026.

He said dialogue and diplomacy remain the only effective way to resolve disputes and achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
The foreign minister also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peace and stability. He said Islamabad is ready to continue playing a constructive role in promoting regional security.
Araghchi and Dar agreed to remain in close contact as the regional situation continues to develop. The Foreign Office said Pakistan remains committed to encouraging peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomacy.
