DPO Chiniot holds open court, orders swift action on public complaints

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) District Police Officer Dr Naveed Atif on Saturday held an open court at his office, where he listened to public complaints and directed officials to ensure timely resolution of applications.

During the proceedings, the DPO instructed concerned officers to properly mark all applications, process them within the given timeframe, and ensure follow-up through the complaint cell with regular progress reports.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Naveed Atif said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, steps are being taken to improve public service delivery using modern technology across all police stations in Chiniot.

He emphasized that citizens visiting police stations must be treated respectfully and their issues resolved promptly without unnecessary delays. He added that if complaints are not addressed at the station level, citizens can directly approach his office for immediate redress.

The DPO also highlighted the introduction of a WhatsApp complaint number, 0370-4022020, allowing citizens to register complaints from home. He said public cooperation is essential for curbing crime and urged citizens to report criminal activity to help ensure timely action against offenders.
