DPO holds open court in Chiniot, orders swift redressal of public complaints

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to improve public service delivery, District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif held an open court at the DPO Office on Tuesday to hear citizens’ complaints and grievances.

During the session, the DPO listened to various public issues and directed concerned officers to properly mark all applications and ensure timely responses within the stipulated period. He also instructed the Complaint Cell to actively follow up on pending cases and submit progress reports regularly.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.

Naveed Atif said that the police department is taking all possible steps to enhance service delivery through modern technology across all police stations in the district. He added that public complaints are being addressed on a priority basis to ensure swift justice and convenience for citizens.

He further emphasized that field officers must treat all citizens with respect and courtesy, resolve their issues without unnecessary delay, and avoid any form of harassment or humiliation, warning that misconduct in police stations or offices will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
