QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Hub Muhammad Baloch on Thursday urged the public to completely avoid aerial firing on the occasion of Chand Raat and consider it their national and social duty.
He said this in his statement that aerial firing is a serious and punishable crime that could cause loss of precious human life at any time.
He warned that as a result of aerial firing, bullets could come back to the ground and prove fatal to innocent citizens, especially women and children.
Muhammad Baloch further said that the police are taking all possible steps to protect the lives and property of the public and the cooperation of citizens is very important to avoid any untoward incident.
He urged the citizens that if an incident of aerial firing occurs anywhere, they should immediately inform the concerned police station so that action could be taken as per the law.
He expressed his determination that strict legal action would be taken against the elements involved in the aerial firing and no leniency would be shown to anyone.
