DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed on Monday visited the District Headquarters Hospital to inquire after the police personnel and civilians injured in the road accident involving a police van, a truck, and a rickshaw on Dera-Tank Road near Chehkan.
During the visit, the DPO met the injured policemen and civilians, wished them a speedy recovery, and assured them of the police department's full support. He also spoke with their attendants and expressed concern over their well-being.
The DPO directed doctors and hospital staff to ensure the injured police personnel receive the best possible medical treatment without any negligence.

Earlier, at least 10 people, including eight police personnel, were injured when a truck reportedly went out of control and rammed into a police van and a rickshaw here on Dera-Tank Road near Chehkan. All the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the condition of three victims was stated to be critical.
