RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) A graduation ceremony of the DSP Promotion Course (Advanced) was held at Police College Sihala, where 57 inspectors successfully completed their training, officials said.
DIG/Commandant Ashfaq Ahmed Khan attended the ceremony as chief guest, while senior police officers, instructors and trainees were also present.
Certificates were distributed among the graduating officers, including 56 male and one female officer.
Addressing the ceremony, Ashfaq Ahmed Khan said the course marked an important milestone in the officers’ professional careers, adding that training was being aligned with modern policing requirements in line with the vision of the Punjab Police.
He said the course included modules on stress and anger management, VVIP security, crime scene management, investigation techniques and leadership skills to equip officers for emerging challenges.
Highlighting the institution’s legacy, he said the college, established in 1959, remained one of the country’s largest and most reputable police training centres, having trained over 100,000 officers and personnel.
He appreciated the efforts of the training staff and expressed confidence that the graduating officers would perform their duties effectively to ensure protection of life and property.
