ED Punjab Arts Council visits RAC

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Executive Director of the Punjab Arts Council (PAC), Mehboob Alam Chaudhry, visited the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi on Wednesday, where he was warmly received by officers and staff of the institution.

During the visit, he conducted a detailed review of ongoing development schemes and cultural activities. He directed the officials to ensure effective monitoring of development work and to further promote art classes so that a large number of students could benefit from learning various artistic skills.

He also held an interactive session with art instructors including Younis Rumi, Babri and Qurrat-ul-Ain, discussing the quality of training being imparted to students and emphasising the need to further polish their creative abilities.

The Executive Director visited different sections of the council including the art gallery where he reviewed exhibitions of paintings and calligraphy and appreciated the work of artists.

Highlighting the importance of culture, he said it was an integral part of national identity and added that efforts would be made to promote arts among all segments of society. He said the council would continue organizing workshops, classes, and exhibitions to nurture young talent and promote fine arts at national and international levels.
