Effective efforts afoot to resolve traffic issues in city

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The district administration is taking effective steps to ensure smooth flow of traffic across the district.

As part of efforts, according to the administration, long-standing issues causing traffic disruption on Thoya Fazil Road and Grid Road have been resolved, bringing significant relief to residents.

The district administration affirmed that such measures will continue to ensure public convenience, safer traffic conditions, and improved urban management.

Giving details it added that a transformer had been placed on a trolley in the middle of Thoya Fazil Road for nearly a decade, severely obstructing the smooth flow of traffic.

Similarly, a utility pole installed in the center of Kalma Chowk on Grid Road had been hindering movement and increasing the risk of accidents.

On the directives of the district administration, and in collaboration with the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), both issues have now been permanently resolved.

The transformer has been properly installed on a pole, while the utility pole has been removed from the middle of the road.

Following these measures, traffic flow at both locations has returned to normal.

It says that, as part of ongoing efforts, all utility poles from GPO Chowk to Sheikh Yousaf Chowk will be relocated in phases to widen the road and further improve traffic flow.
