Eight arrested, weapons recovered

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) Police intensified a crackdown against proclaimed offenders, thieves, drug peddlers and illegal arms holders, arresting eight suspects in separate operations, a police spokesman said Saturday.

Seetpur police, led by SHO Inspector Mustaqeem Sajid, arrested three proclaimed offenders and put them behind bars during targeted raids.

The team also busted a gang of thieves, arresting five of its members in a separate operation.

Acting against drug peddlers, police recovered 30 litres of illicit liquor from an accused.

In another operation against illegal weapons, police recovered a 30-bore pistol along with bullets from a suspect.

Cases have been registered against all the accused under the Prohibition of Drugs Act and Arms Ordinance, police said, adding that further investigation was underway.
