KOHISTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) An emergency meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lower Kohistan, Zohaib Hayat, over the reported unnecessary delay in the upgradation of the Patan Grid Station, as the worsening power crisis has triggered public protests and road blockades on the Karakoram Highway (KKH), severely affecting traffic flow and public order in the region.

The meeting was attended by the District Police Officer Lower Kohistan and the Superintending Engineer of Hazara Electric Supply Company.

The session was called in the wake of ongoing public protests on the Karakoram Highway, which have disrupted transportation and raised serious concerns regarding law and order.
