Rawalpindi police arrest man accused of repeatedly assaulting married woman

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) Police have arrested a suspect accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a married woman and extorting money from her through blackmailing, said police spokesperson here on Saturday.

The victim stated in the FIR that the suspect had been blackmailing her, subjecting her to sexual abuse, and continuously taking money from her.

During the operation, Chakri police recovered the suspect's mobile phone, which was allegedly used in the crime.

A motorcycle purchased with money obtained from the victim was also seized.

Police said the victim has undergone the required medical examination and further investigation is underway.

SP Saddar Anum Sher stated that the suspect will be presented before the court with solid evidence.

She reiterated that crimes involving sexual abuse, harassment, or violence against women and children are unacceptable and will be dealt with strictly under the law.
