MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Former Controller of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary education Mirpurkhas, Anwar Aleem Khanzada, was arrested by Anti-Corruption Police in connection with a mega corruption scandal.
According to APP correspondent, he is the main accused in FIR No. 39 registered at Town Police Station. The arrest follows disclosures by previously arrested board employees Azam Khan, Shahid Latif, and others during an ongoing large-scale operation.
Investigators say major irregularities occurred during Khanzada’s tenure at the Mirpurkhas Board.According to the Anti-Corruption investigation team, scrutiny uncovered 2,539 fake matriculation and intermediate certificates.
Marks of more than 15,000 students were also illegally increased. These activities allegedly caused corruption exceeding Rs 2.5 billion. After taking Khanzada into custody, Anti-Corruption Police have expanded the investigation.
