ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) A man and his associates were arrested after being accused of posing as members of a magistrate’s staff and carrying out unauthorized actions against traders.

Following complaints from the business community, the Islamabad district administration launched an operation that led to the arrest of the suspects and the registration of a criminal case.

The Islamabad district administration took action after receiving reports that individuals were conducting operations against traders while falsely claiming to represent a magistrate’s office.

On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, a covert team was deployed to investigate the complaints. During the operation, the team apprehended the suspects while they were allegedly using the name of the district administration to carry out unauthorized activities.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the main accused, identified as Usama, was working with several associates and was found involved in actions carried out under the false pretense of official authority. Authorities said the suspects had no legal mandate to conduct such operations.
