Farooq Sattar urges shift to economic revival after Pakistan's diplomatic success

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) Senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Farooq Sattar, on Wednesday called for shifting the country's focus towards economic revival, saying Pakistan had strengthened its international standing through effective diplomacy and robust defence preparedness.

Speaking to the media outside Parliament, he said country's next priority should be economic advancement through the policy of ease business process, reduction of taxes, better infrastructure and other facilities.

He said Pakistan had conveyed to the world that it was a peace-loving nation committed to dialogue rather than conflict, adding that wars did not offer lasting solutions to disputes. Pakistan, he noted, had consistently supported efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability.

Expressing optimism about the future, Sattar said with continued political stability, economic reforms, and constructive diplomacy, Pakistan could achieve stronger economic growth and create greater opportunities for its people.
