KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for Sindh Affairs, Raja Khaliq uz Zaman Ansari, on Wednesday responded to recent remarks by Farooq Sattar of Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan, stating that while the government regards dissent as a hallmark of democracy, such statements do not fully represent the prevailing ground realities.

In a measured response, Ansari said Sattar’s comments appeared to reflect a personal opinion rather than the party’s collective position.

He underscored that MQM-P remains a key ally of the Federal government and expressed optimism that the partnership would continue in the broader national interest.

“The government is committed to moving forward with all coalition partners through consultation, mutual respect, and consensus,” he said, adding that inclusive decision-making remains central to the coalition’s functioning.

Highlighting the government’s priorities, the spokesperson said resolving public grievances, stabilizing the national economy, and accelerating development in Karachi remain at the forefront.

“Karachi’s progress is intrinsically linked to Pakistan’s overall prosperity,” he noted.

Ansari further said that meaningful consultations are ongoing on key constitutional and administrative matters, including the local government system, and assured that the perspectives of all allied parties are being duly valued. He emphasized the need for constructive engagement and restraint, stressing that sensitive national issues should be addressed through dialogue rather than public rhetoric.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Ansari said the federal administration would continue to work closely with MQM-P and other coalition partners to ensure political stability, democratic continuity, and sustainable public welfare across the country.
