MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) A police team led by SHO women police station arrested a suspect in a successful operation after a woman complained the man had tortured her.

Police spokesman said on Wednesday, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Women Police Station, Iram Haneef, leading her team, took prompt action on a complaint lodged by the victim and managed to trace and apprehend the accused.

A case has been registered against the suspect, while further investigation is underway.

City Police Officer (CPO) Multan reiterated that crimes against women would not be tolerated under any circumstances and strict legal action would be ensured against those involved.

Reaffirming commitment to ensuring protection of women, the CPO stated that all available resources would be utilized to provide justice to female victims.
