Female Saudi Border Guard officers join Hajj duty to guide, protect pilgrims

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Female personnel of the General Directorate of Border Guard have been deployed across the holy sites during Hajj 1447 AH to assist pilgrims through security, organizational and field support duties.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the female officers are performing various responsibilities including guidance and direction of pilgrims, security inspections, traffic regulation and support for field operations aimed at ensuring pilgrims’ safety and smooth movement.

The deployment forms part of broader efforts by Saudi Border Guard authorities to strengthen services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season.

SPA told APP that the participation of female personnel is helping improve operational efficiency and service quality in the holy sites.

Authorities said the integrated security and organizational arrangements are aimed at enabling pilgrims to perform Hajj rituals with ease, safety and peace of mind.

The Saudi authorities continue mobilizing all available resources and personnel to facilitate millions of pilgrims during Hajj 1447 AH.
