Five arrested,arms and drugs seized in separate cases

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Police on Wednesday arrested five suspects and recovered illegal weapons and narcotics in separate operations across the district.

According to a spokesperson,the crackdown against illegal arms holders and drug dealers was led on the directives of District Police Officer,(DPO),Rana Umar Farooq.

Under the supervision of DSP Saddar Circle,Rai Sarfraz Yousaf,SHO Kunjah police along with his team,arrested two suspects involved in aerial firing and creating panic in the area.

Police recovered two Kalashnikov rifles from their possession.

The accused were identified as Qasim Ali and Basit Ali,r/o Jandhar Kalan.

In a separate action,SHO Daulat Nagar police arrested two more suspects and recovered two 30-bore pistols.

The accused were identified as Bilal and Asif Javed.

Meanwhile,SHO Tanda police arrested a drug dealer namely as Salamat Younas,recovering over one kilogram of ice (crystal meth) along with Rs1500 in drug money.

Cases have been registered against the accused while further investigations was under way.
