Five injured as hotel shed collapses during rain

Exactly five people were injured after the shed of a roadside hotel collapsed due to rain near Zinda Peer Mor at Shadan Lond, around 40 kilometers north of Dera Ghazi Khan city, on Tuesday

DERA GHAZI KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) Exactly five people were injured after the shed of a roadside hotel collapsed due to rain near Zinda Peer Mor at Shadan Lond, around 40 kilometers north of Dera Ghazi Khan city, on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the control room received an emergency call at 4:57 pm that the shed of Lucky Marwat Hotel had collapsed with fears several persons were trapped under the debris.

Rescuers immediately responded from nearby Shadan Lond station, while additional ambulances and rescue vehicles were sent from Shah Sadr Deen and the Central Rescue Station.

Rescuers pulled out five injured persons from the debris and provided them first aid before shifting them to local Rural Health Center.

The injured were identified as Muhammad Hussain (45) r/o Quetta, Noor Muhammad (35) r/o Peshawar, Saqib (35) r/o Kohat, Ibraheem (50) r/o Peshawar and Nawab (30) r/o Kohat.

Rescue officials said multiple emergency vehicles, including search and rescue vans from Dera Ghazi Khan and Taunsa Sharif, participated in the operation under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Engineer Ahmad Kamal.

Search teams completed the operation after thoroughly checking the debris of the bamboo and girder-based shed and employed an excavator to safely remove the rubble and ensure that no person remained trapped underneath.
