Focused on transformational agenda to encourage youth in upcoming budget: Governor

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Sunday said that we have specifically focused on a transformational agenda to encourage the youth of Balochistan in the upcoming annual budget 2026-27.

He said that we recognize the important role of youth as architects of the future and partners in the construction and development of the present.

He expressed these views while talking to the parliamentarians of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) at the Governor House, Quetta.

On this occasion, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Parliamentary Leader Mir Saleem Khosa, Provincial General Secretary PML-N Jamal Shah Kakar, Member National Assembly Akhtar Bibi, Provincial Ministers Mir Shoaib Noshirwani, Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Muhammad Khan Lehri, Mir Asim Kurd Gelu, Zarak Khan Mandokhel, Haji Barkat Rind, Hadiya Nawaz, Naseem-ur-Rehman Mullakhel and other leaders were also present.

The Governor said that keeping in mind the severe poverty and unemployment in the province, we have to provide new job opportunities this time.

He said that a new program has been designed to deal with the increasing unemployment among the youth in the province so that thousands of youth have access to decent employment and modern career paths.

He urged the PML-N parliamentarians to focus on programs that provide immediate employment.

He noted that in Bolan Medical University alone, we have started more than ten medical courses and diploma programs, which would provide employment to the youth immediately after completion. Along with quality education at the level of all public sector universities, we have also made parallel investments in programs to teach modern skills, including professional training, online information technology courses and medical diploma programs, he said.

He mentioned that by integrating quality education with modern skills training, the youth would be equipped to enter a vibrant job market.

Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel urged that the youth to harness their hidden talents, advance their patriotism and play an active role in the country’s development and progress saying that by properly educating and empowering the youth of Balochistan, we would ensure a future that is not only educated but also dynamic, effective and ready to lead in various spheres of life as per the modern demands of the 21st century.
