Four filtration plants inaugurated at Ayub Teaching Hospital

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Chairman board of Governors (BOG), Prof. Dr. Abid Jameel Monday has inaugurated four modern water filtration plants at Ayub Teaching Hospital and its affiliated hostels.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that clean drinking water is a basic human necessity and its provision in a hospital is a top priority. He added that efforts to further improve facilities in the institution will continue.

“Our mission is to provide quality and modern healthcare facilities to the people of Hazara, and these projects reflect that vision,” he stated.

According to details, the Chairman formally inaugurated the filtration plants aimed at providing clean, safe, and quality drinking water to patients, attendants, and staff residing in hospital hostels. The project is expected to significantly improve access to safe water within the hospital premises.

He appreciated the hospital administration and maintenance department for their dedication and efforts in completing the project despite limited resources.

On the occasion, he also inaugurated four tuck shops within the hospital, where essential daily-use items will be available for patients and attendants at reasonable prices, reducing the need to leave the hospital premises.

The ceremony was attended by Dean and CEO Prof. Dr. Irfanuddin Khattak, Hospital Director Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Afridi, Associate Hospital Director Dr. Dawood Iqbal, Finance Director Altaf Khattak, and other senior officials.

The Chairman reiterated that more development projects will be introduced in the near future to further enhance healthcare facilities and transform the hospital into a model public institution.
