Funeral prayer of martyred constable offered in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) The funeral prayer for martyred Constable Somar Khan Brohi was offered with full official honors, recognizing his sacrifice in the line of duty.

DIG Shaheed Benazirabad Range Faisal Bashir Memon and SSP Sameer Noor Channa attended the funeral prayer.

A well-disciplined police contingent presented guard of honor, while senior officers laid floral wreaths on the martyr’s coffin as a mark of respect.

Following the funeral, DIG Faisal Bashir Memon and SSP Sameer Noor Channa met with the bereaved family.

They expressed solidarity and offered condolences to martyr’s father and relatives. The officials said that Somar Khan Brohi was not only a son to his family but also a source of pride for the department and the Sindh Police, and that the entire police force stands united with grieving family.

The officials reiterated that the sacrifice of martyred constable would never be forgotten, emphasizing that police personnel continue to perform their duties with courage and dedication, regardless of the risks involved. They assured that the martyr’s family would not be left alone, and that the police department would utilize all available resources to support and care for them.

On the occasion, special prayers were also offered for the elevation of martyr’s ranks and for peace and security of the country. The body of martyred constable was later sent to his native area with full respect for burial.
