GC Women University confers 2,722 degrees in 6th convocation

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) The Government College Women University Faisalabad conferred 2,722 degrees during the 6th convocation

held here on Thursday.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) presided over the ceremony as nominee of the Chancellor/Governor Punjab.

MPA Qudsia Batool, Vice Chancellor GCUF, Rector The University of Faisalabad, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Farooq Yusuf Sheikh, President Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI) Shahida Aftab, distinguished academia and industry representatives, alumni and a large number of parents, attended the ceremony, making it a memorable and prestigious occasion.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) in her address congratulated the graduates and their proud parents on receiving the medals and degrees.

The Vice Chancellor presented a report on the university's key accomplishments.

The university conferred 2,722 degrees in total, including 12 PhDs, 148 MPhil degrees, 123 ADP/B.Ed degrees, and 2,439 BS degrees. Recognizing academic excellence, the university awarded 98 medals, including 32 gold, 37 silver, and 29 bronze medals to outstanding students.
