Global trust in Pakistan on the rise due balanced foreign policy: KP governor

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi said on Saturday Pakistan is moving in the right direction, with growing international confidence in the country due to its balanced foreign policy.

He made these remarks while speaking to the media after meeting Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon at Bahawal House in Shujabad, where he congratulated him on his son’s wedding. Both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and the overall political situation of the country.

Referring to the regional scenario, particularly tensions involving Iran and Gulf countries, Kundi said Pakistan had adopted a responsible and best approach, avoiding involvement in conflict, which enhanced its global credibility.

He observed that indications of renewed international dialogue reflect the success of Pakistan’s foreign policy under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Deputy PM Ishaq Dar.

Kundi said Pakistan now has an opportunity for economic take-off and stressed the need to enhance global trade ties.

On constitutional matters, he termed the proposed 28th amendment inevitable, saying it could be introduced at any time in line with parliamentary procedures after consultation with allied parties.

Commenting on inflation, he said rising global oil prices due to geopolitical tensions were impacting economies worldwide, including Pakistan. He added that the recent reduction in petroleum prices by the prime minister aimed to provide public relief,l. He also feared that inflation could rise further if global conditions worsen.

He urged coordinated efforts by the government and relevant institutions to maximize relief for citizens.
