Governor KP condoles with Shoaib Akhtar over brother's demise

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday visited the residence of former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar to offer condolences over the demise of his elder brother, Shahid Akhtar.

Pakistan Peoples Party Central Secretary Information Nadeem Afzal Chan and Member of the National Assembly Noor Alam Khan accompanied the Governor during the visit.

Governor Kundi expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing of Shahid Akhtar and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to Shoaib Akhtar and the bereaved family.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant eternal peace to the departed soul, elevate his ranks in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and bless the family with patience and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
