PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday emphasized the need for strong collaboration between public institutions and healthcare organizations to enhance medical facilities and outreach services across the province.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Dr Shafeeq ur Rehman, CEO of Rehman Medical Institute (RMI), who called on him at Governor House.

Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Farzand Ali Wazir and Secretary Abid Rehman Marwat were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, matters relating to the ongoing relief and humanitarian activities of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were discussed in detail, particularly its emergency response efforts, healthcare services and assistance to under-served communities across the province.

The participants also reviewed measures aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and discussed future collaboration between Rehman Medical Institute and PRCS in the fields of healthcare and corporate social responsibility initiatives to expand medical outreach for vulnerable segments of society.

Dr Shafeeq ur Rehman appreciated the humanitarian and welfare services being carried out by PRCS under the leadership of Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and acknowledged its role in serving people across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving healthcare systems and ensuring access to quality medical services for the public.

He said effective partnerships between healthcare institutions and public welfare organizations were essential for the collective well-being of the people.
