Governor Sindh extends heartfelt congratulations to Nation on Youm-e-Takbeer

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) Governor Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation on the historic occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, commemorating Pakistan's successful nuclear tests conducted on May 28, 1998.

In his message issued on Friday, the Sindh Governor described May 28, 1998, as "a monumental and unforgettable day in Pakistan's history, when the defense of our beloved homeland was rendered permanently invincible."

The Sindh Governor emphasized that Youm-e-Takbeer stood as a shining symbol of Pakistan's national sovereignty, defensive capability, honor, and dignity.

He noted that following these historic nuclear tests, Pakistan emerged as the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and the seventh globally.

Governor Hashmi paid rich tribute to the courageous leadership of former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, crediting his resolute decision-making under immense international pressure.
