Gujrat to revamp Nishan-e-Haider memorial at Kutchery Chowk

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) The district administration on Monday initiated reconstruction work on the Nishan-e-Haider memorial at Kutchery Chowk Gujrat on the directives of Deputy Commissioner(DC),Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi, aiming to enhance its visual appeal and symbolic importance.

According to official sources,the project was designed to present the memorial in a more dignified manner while honoring the sacrifices of national heroes.

Officials said the renovation is being executed with modern design features and high-quality construction standards,which will not only improve the aesthetics of the central location but also promote public awareness and patriotism.

Assistant Commissioner(AC) Gujrat,Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon said the upgraded memorial,once completed would stand as a prominent landmark at Kutchery Chowk.
