HAR steps up nursery care to enhance urban greenery

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi(HAR) has intensified efforts to maintain and cultivate a wide variety of plants and flowers in nurseries across the city.

According to the HAR spokesman, acting on the directions of the Managing Director of HAR, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, horticultural staff and expert gardeners were employing modern techniques to ensure the health, growth, and aesthetic quality of plants.

Special focus was being given to the cultivation of seasonal flowers, ornamental plants and shade trees.

He said regular watering, fertilisation, pruning and plant protection measures were being carried out to support the upkeep of parks, green belts and highways.

The spokesman added that providing a clean, green and pleasant environment to residents remained the agency’s top priority. He added that the continuous production of quality plants in nurseries was essential to further enhance the city’s beauty.

He also urged citizens to cooperate with the agency in protecting plants and trees and to contribute to promoting a greener environment.
