Health and education are priorities of the government: Faisal Rathore

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to prioritizing public welfare, particularly in the sectors of health and education.

He made these assertions during a meeting with Minister for Housing and Physical Planning Chaudhry Yasir Sultan and Minister for Finance Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, who called him here on Wednesday.

Emphasizing that the safety of human life is paramount, the prime minister stated that long-standing issues faced by the people of Mirpur would be addressed on a priority basis.

He also assured that shortages of staff and infrastructure in the Divisional Hospital Mirpur and the Kashmir Institute of Cardiology would be urgently addressed.

The budget for emergency medical services, he said, would be increased in line with population needs to ensure timely and effective healthcare delivery.

During the meeting, the Minister for Housing and Physical Planning highlighted the issues faced by Mirpur Divisional Hospital, the Kashmir Institute of Cardiology, and rehabilitation of sub-families.

In response, the Prime Minister assured that all concerns would be addressed on a priority basis.

Reiterating his commitment, the Prime Minister stated that resolving the problems of Mirpur’s residents remains a top priority. The PM told the minister that he would soon visit Mirpur personally to review the situation.
