HEC launches Talent Hunt Program for youth

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Monday launched a nationwide talent hunt program aimed at promoting scientific talent among students.

According to official sources,the initiative will feature various science-based competitions to identify and groom young individuals with exceptional potential.

Under the program,successful candidates will receive fully funded training and an opportunity to participate in the International Science Olympiad.

Officials said that selected students will also be offered free education at leading institutions,including the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Institute of Space Technology,without the need to appear in an entrance test.

In addition,students will be eligible for up to 100% fee waivers,monthly scholarships and prizes worth more than Rs.500,000.

Applications for the program can be submitted until May 30,2026,the sources added.
