RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema has announced a local holiday across the district on April 11.

According to an official notification issued here on Friday, the holiday will be observed in all public and private institutions within the territorial limits of Rawalpindi district.

However, emergency services, hospitals and other essential service providers will remain operational to ensure uninterrupted public facilitation.

The district administration has directed all concerned departments to ensure compliance with the orders.

Authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration,adding that emergency services will remain available at all times.
