ICT Police net 69 outlaws; drugs, weapons recovered in crackdown

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 69 outlaws during a crackdown against criminal elements in different areas of the Federal capital, recovering drugs and weapons from their possession.

An official told APP on Wednesday that police teams of Sihala, Shalimar, Secretariat, Tarnol, Industrial Area, Lohi Bher, Shehzad Town, Sangjani and Khanna police stations arrested 20 accused involved in various criminal activities.

He said the police recovered 2,362 grams of heroin, one kilogram of ice, 15 bottles of liquor, one rifle and seven pistols along with ammunition from the arrested individuals.

The official said cases had been registered against the accused and further investigations were underway.

He said during a special campaign against proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams also arrested 49 more criminals, taking the total number of arrests to 69.

He said SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated that Islamabad Police was committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and would not allow any element to disturb public peace.
