IGP congratulates retired DSP’s daughter on joining PSP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Tuesday met Dr. Ayesha Asif, daughter of retired DSP Asif Rasheed, and congratulated her on securing 38th position in the CSS competitive examination and qualifying for the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP)

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Tuesday met Dr. Ayesha Asif, daughter of retired DSP Asif Rasheed, and congratulated her on securing 38th position in the CSS competitive examination and qualifying for the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, Dr. Ayesha, an MBBS graduate from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur, achieved distinction in the CSS examination and earned placement in PSP.

IGP Abdul Kareem praised Dr. Ayesha for her outstanding achievement and extended best wishes to her and her family.

He also paid tribute to retired DSP Asif Rasheed and his wife for supporting their daughter’s higher education and said parents’ guidance, hard work and proper upbringing played a key role in the success of children.

The IGP said the achievements of talented children of police officers and personnel were a matter of pride for the entire police force.

He advised Ayesha to utilise her abilities and authority for national development, progress and public service.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ayesha Asif dedicated her success to her parents for their continuous guidance and support at every stage of life.

Additional IG Logistics and Procurement Fawad-ud-Din Riaz, AIG Procurement Rizwan Umar Gondal and other officers were also present on the occasion.
