IGP Rizvi pays tribute to workers on Labour Day, vows protection of their rights

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi paid tribute to workers on Labour Day, acknowledging their vital role in the country’s development and prosperity.

An official told APP on Friday that the IGP said labourers were the backbone of national development and a valuable asset for the country.

Rizvi emphasized that hardworking and dedicated workers played a key role in strengthening the economy and building the nation.

IGP Rizvi reiterated that Islamabad Police was committed to protecting the rights of the working class.

IGP stressed that ensuring dignity, safety and welfare of labourers was a collective responsibility.

Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi paid homage to workers for their contributions and sacrifices.

He said Islamabad Police would continue efforts to address issues faced by all segments of society, particularly the labour community.
