IGP Rizvi reviews security at duty points, orders stricter checking

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited various duty points across the city and conducted a fresh review of security arrangements in view of the arrival of foreign delegations in the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Saturday that senior officers also accompanied the IGP during the visit.

IGP Rizvi met officers deployed in the field and briefed them on the nature and sensitivity of their duties. Rizvi directed further strengthening of the checking system to make it more strict, effective and well-coordinated.

“Protection of the federal capital is our foremost responsibility, and there is no room for negligence,” the IGP said.

He directed all officers to remain vigilant and perform their duties with a spirit of service. The IGP also instructed personnel to ensure maximum facilitation to citizens to maintain smooth traffic flow.
