IGP Rizvi reviews security, orders stricter checking across capital

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited various duty points across the city and conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements.

An official told APP on Friday that senior officers also accompanied the IGP during the visit. IGP Rizvi interacted with officers deployed in the field and briefed them regarding their duties and responsibilities.

Rizvi directed further strengthening of the checking system to make it more strict, effective and well-coordinated. He emphasized that protection of the Federal capital remained the top priority and no negligence would be tolerated.

“All officers must remain vigilant and perform their duties with a spirit of service,” he said. He also directed personnel to ensure maximum facilitation to citizens to maintain smooth flow of traffic in the city.
