IGP Sindh reviews performance of police departments, stresses administrative reforms

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Javed Alam Odho on Tuesday chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office to review the performance of various departments of Sindh Police and discuss measures aimed at enhancing institutional efficiency and public service delivery.

The meeting was attended by Additional IGPs of Establishment, Operations and Investigations, as well as DIGPs of Headquarters, Establishment, Training, Telecommunication and Transport (T&T), Finance and Assistant Inspectors General, said a news release.

Participants were given detailed briefings by the DIGP Finance, DIGP Establishment, AIGP Welfare and Director Press on the performance and ongoing activities of their respective departments.

The officers apprised the IGP Sindh of institutional and welfare initiatives, financial and administrative matters, promotions, recruitments and other key issues, besides outlining future objectives and priorities.

The Director Press briefed the meeting on measures taken to strengthen coordination between the police and media, promote mutual cooperation and ensure the timely dissemination of authentic information.

The IGP Sindh conducted a detailed review of departmental performance and issued necessary directives to the relevant officers for further improvement.

Speaking on the occasion, Javed Alam Odho emphasised the need to enhance departmental performance and make public service delivery more effective and result-oriented at every level.

He directed officers to ensure transparency in administrative affairs and promote innovation and professional excellence within the organisation.

The IGP Sindh further stressed that institutional capacity and operational efficiency should be strengthened through reforms aligned with modern requirements and effective administrative strategies.
