Illegal BISP deductions foiled in Kot Addu raid

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) In a decisive action against corruption, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) carried out a successful raid in Daira Din Panah, foiling illegal deductions from beneficiary payments.

According to official sources, Assistant Director Jehanzeb Kharl led the operation, during which a mobile shop, Arslan Mobile Shop, located near Hazar Minor, was caught red-handed deducting Rs 1,000 unlawfully from payments meant for beneficiaries.

BISP officials acted swiftly to provide immediate relief to the affected women by recovering and returning the deducted amount on the spot. The device used for transactions at the shop was also suspended as part of strict action against the violation.

The spokesman said the department has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against exploitation, warning that those involved in illegal deductions and depriving deserving individuals of their rightful funds will face strict legal consequences.
