Illegal structures on 18 kanal lands demolished

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) The district administration here Thursday demolished illegal structures in 18 kanals of land on Bannu house road.

Under the supervision of the district administration of Peshawar, an operation was conducted against illegal constructions along Bannu House Road.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, the operation was carried out with the participation by district administration, irrigation department, and police.

During the operation, illegal structures built on more than 18 kanals of land were demolished.

The constructions were being established on waterways and drainage channels. The same structures had previously been demolished by the district administration in 2021 for encroaching on irrigation land and obstructing the flow of water.

The district administration clarified that violations involving government land, waterways, and building bylaws will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and indiscriminate action against violators will continue.
